THE LONG WAY ROUND: The Rise of King David

King David is one of the most famous men in the bible, yet his rise to fame and power is far from straightforward. As we track his journey from the boy who kills a giant to the man ready to rule, there are many detours and unexpected twists in the road. Along the way, we’ll see God’s gauge of leadership and learn how to trust him in testing times. We’ll see the corrosive effects of jealousy, the importance of friendship and the cost of standing with the godly in the face of persecution. We’ll even meet a witch!

Most of all, we will see in God’s choice of David a reflection of Jesus, his ultimate king.
